German Translation is not displayed

Hey there,

I am using a child theme and everything is working fine but the german translation.

So as I read in the documentation I did the following:

• downloaded: .../themes/yolo-kidzone/langauges/yolo-kidzone.pot
• Translatetd with PoEdit and Saved a *.mo file: de_DE.mo
• uploaded this file to the language-folder in the parent theme, so: .../themes/yolo-kidzone/languages/de_DE.mo

In the WordPress Settings (Settings > General) German Language is selected.

So still in the Fronend the English Language is shown and not my translations made in the de_DE.mo file.

Do you have an idea why?

Hi Nico.

To translate for child theme, you still need to create languages folder and put your language file to child theme/language folder as the main theme.

I have helped you do it. Please check it and let me know again.

Hi Jackie,

I think it now works, but if I try to translate the yolo-library plugin, it seems not to work.

To do so, I downloaded /plugins/yolo-kidzone-library/languages/yolo-kidzone.pot and edited with Poedit. Afterwards I saved as de_DE.mo and uploaded it to the same plugin language folder.

I also tried to rename the *.mo file to yolo-kidzone-library-de_DE.mo but this also did not work.

Do you have an idea how to translate the yolo-library?

Thank you for waiting for us.

We have checked plugin language and found issue with my load find.

We have fixed this issue on your site. And please change this language file to yolo-kidzone-de_DE.mo, not yolo-kidzone-library-de_DE.mo.

Please check it and feedback us again.

Hi Jackie,

I tried and it now worked.
I put the language file here:

wp-content/plugins/yolo-kidzone-library/languages/yolo-kidzone-de_DE.mo

Could you please let me know where there was the issue in your plugIn?
Only because now I am in development environment for my client, and later on I have to moove to their server.

Or do I /we get an update for yolo-library Plugin?

Hi Nico.

We so sorry for late response.

To fix this issue we just change the function yolo_load_textdomain at plugin file

plugins/yolo-kidzone-library/yolo-kidzone-library.php by code below

public function yolo_load_textdomain(){
load_plugin_textdomain(  'yolo-kidzone', false, dirname( plugin_basename( __FILE__ ) )  . '/languages/' );
}

And we will update in next version.
