Hello, could you tell me where are the instructions for integrating Sofani theme with WPML ? I have found the following page:
There is a reference to a link to follow but actually no link is provided.
My problem is that the main language of my site is in Italian but part of the layout is still visualized in English. I have not still installed WPML but I successfully installed the theme, all the plugins and the demo data.
Could you tell me how to proceed ? Do you need the credentials for accessing the site as administrators ?
Thank you in advance,
Linkeyparma
8 years, 2 months ago #12198hi,
Thanks for your contacting us.
The WPML plugin is a paid plugin so you should consider carefully before using this plugin. It is very easy to use by going to Plugins > Add New to install WMPL plugin. After that, please refer this documentation to how to use this plugin: https://wpml.org/documentation/
But, as you said above, we think you can use the Loco translate plugin to help you - a free plugin and very easy to use.
Here is the link of plugin: https://wordpress.org/plugins/loco-translate/
In addition, you can tell us these texts which you cannot translate, we will check then guide you.
Best Regards,
Tracy
8 years, 1 month ago #12581Hello,
I have installed WPML and all the due plugins and updates.
I have created an english version of the home page but strangely, even setting Page Options->Page Top->Hide, the page top is still visualized. See attached image for clarification.
The english version of the home page ([url]/en) should look exactly like the default one ([url]).
Could you please fix this problem ?
By the way, how it is possible to translate the 'CATEGORIES' drop downlist at the right of the logo ? The default (italian) home page should show 'CATEGORIE'.
TIA

could you please give an answer to the above question ?
Thank you.
8 years, 1 month ago #12652Hi again,
Thanks for getting back to us.
1> Please go to Theme Options > Page Settings > Show Page Title: Off to turn off the page title and heading background on your page.
2> We still find the Categories text on our language file, you can use the WPML to translate. See the image attachment.
You can check, then feedback us.
Best Regards,
Tracy
8 years, 1 month ago #12703Hello,
how it is possible to translate the footer with WPML ? When I open 'Footer 4' (the footer I am using) in the Italian language, the buttons for adding an English version are not there.
([url]/wp-admin/post.php?post=291&action=edit&lang=it)
Could you help me ? TIA
8 years, 1 month ago #12704Hello,
I have translated with WPML the strings 'Empty Cart' and 'You have no item in your shopping cart' but I still see the English version of them on the default home page (in italian) of the site.
Why this is happening ?

I have realized that now the translation of the strings 'Empty Cart' and 'You have no item in your shopping cart' is correctly visualized in Italian.
I would really need your advice anyway on how to translate the Footer into English with WPML.
TIA
8 years, 1 month ago #12849Hi again,
Thanks for your feedback.
We have used the Footer block to build the footer section. We have got access your website then check your footer, you have used the Footer 4.
Please go to Dashboard > Sofani > Footer Blocks > Footer 4 to change your footer text.
Check it, then feedback us.
Best Regards,
Tracy
8 years, 1 month ago #12852Hello Tracy,
thank you for the feedback. I was aware of how to change the text of Footer4.
I was wondering though how I could add the translations of it with WPML. As you can see the footer has now texts in Italian. How can I add the English translation of them ?
Switching language does not make the trick (as it does on pages, products or posts). Please, look at the screenshot for clarification.
TIA
8 years, 1 month ago #12861Hi,
To translate Footer: You need to enable WPML for Footer.
Currently, you can try to translate with Footer 4.
Best regards,
8 years, 1 month ago #13213Hello,
I have translated Footer4 into English but unfortunately it is not visualized when I access to the English version of the site: http://[URL of the site]/en
The Footer4 preview is visualized correctly (http://[URL of the site]/en/yolo_footer/footer-4/).
Could you please help me to solve this problem ? TIA
8 years ago #13251Hello,
I have noticed another problem with the translations; when I click on the cart icon on the home page header the following happens:
1. The strings on the buttons 'View cart' and 'Checkout' should be in Italian (they are in English); there is no way of translating them with WPML strings.
2. The buttons 'View cart' and 'Checkout' have no link over them; I cannot find the way to insert a link, for instance, to a page called 'Carrello' (cart) on the 'View cart' button.
Please, have a look to the image attached for clarification.
Could you help me with these issues ? I kindly ask you to answer as well on the problem of 'Footer4' mentioned in my last message. TIA
