It appears that this is the feature of Chrome for some unknown reason. Can you try Firefox. I cannot reproduce your error on any browser.

This isn't chrome feature, this is authentication of your site to protect back-end.
You can try to open private browse, you will see this popup.
Please check it and let us know again.

To enable/disable visual composer for the post type, you can go to visual composer/ role manager/ post type: custom and check to post type you want.
