Thank you for choosing our product.
Don't worry about visual composer license. You can use this plugin with all function without purchase code. We alway give our client latest version of this plugin via our theme, or you can request us to get a new version.
And with the homepage, do you see a blank page? I think issue from shortcode testimonial at home page 1. You can disable this shortcode or choose another homepage for front-page.
Let us know again and give us your site URL and Wp-admin account if you can't do it. We will help you check it soon.Regards.
