We have the option to change the mobile menu text color. Please go to the theme option/ header/ mobile header, then you will see the list option for the mobile.
For the background color, you can use the custom CSS below:
header.yolo-mobile-header .yolo-mobile-header-inner { background-color: #yourcolor; }
header.yolo-mobile-header .yolo-mobile-header-wrapper { background-color: #yourcolor; }

Yes, to open the mobile menu from the burger button on the mobile, you need to assign a menu for the Mobile menu. Please go to Appearance/ Menus/ select the menu that needs to display on the mobile, and scroll down, you will see the Menu Settings/Display Location: check "Mobile Menu".
