Can't see background images and the correct footer in WPML translation page

Hello,

I performed a theme and plugins update yesterday on the website http://www.emilyhome.it.

Everything worked well for the English version of the site (which is the default version); the Italian home page however shows the following problems:

1. The background images are not shown at all. There is no use in changing images or even substituting them with colors. No changes is seen in visualization.
2. The footer of the Italian home page is in English. I cannot switch manually on the Italian one on the page option. All the footers of the Italian version of the site are correctly in Italian. I have notices that while the home page shows a manually defined footer, the other pages make use of the default one

My translation plugin is WPML.

Feel free to access directly the website administration in order to solve the above issues.
