I have decided to test the home page and footer in the English version.
So I have launched them for a test (just home page and the footer) and I realised that we were able to see the home page but not the footer. It was still the French version and not the English one. I do not understand why?...
Thanks

Thank you for contacting us.
If you use the WPML plugin, you can translate the footer or the theme option config to your new language.
Thanks.
1 year, 4 months ago #27230Hello,
I am not sure to understand.
Concerning the header problem: I have polylang plugin for translating my pages. I have also loco translate plugin for changing theme options langages. But I do not know where can I change the name of the button "infolettre" that I have created on the header part. So do I have to upload a new plugin for that? WPML? See images "french button.."
Concerning the footer part. I have have already registered the footer part in English. Through my plugin elementor and polygang (see attached image "footer translated"). But When I test and launch the homepage in english with the footer part in english, the home page is launched but the footer part is still in French. (See picture "test homepage launched...").

1 year, 4 months ago #27251Hi again.
The Polylang or Loco translate can't help you translate the theme option or value in the theme config.
Please use the WPML plugin to change the name or link of the config in the theme option to another language.
Thanks.
1 year, 4 months ago #27252Ok. I am still stuck and I wait for a long time someone to receive help for this issue. I need to launch in English !
I downloaded WMPL to polylang. I activated the plugin. And I do not see at all WMPL on the WP back office WordPress . I can not set up the plugin... And then If I click on tools<WPML import, some messages appears. See picture 1 attached. It is said no languages have been created with polylang and WMPL is not installed on the website. But I use polylang for elementor and I have created english pages. They are not launched but they exist.
When I go to Jhana<theme options, I still can't add a button in English and also change the link. See picture 2 attached. I have still the only one choice. My french button "infolettre".
When I go on plugin installed<WPML for polylang< translation, I have this information. See picture 3 attached. We see just the French language (my first language) and not the english one. If I click to add one it is said that the template is missing. See picture 4
I have already made a translation of ALLLLLL the site.
I have done the english version of the footer but it doesn't appear when I launch the english version
And I need to translate 1 button. Just 1. How can I solmve quickly my problem without loosing all my previous translation???Attachments:

1 year, 4 months ago #27258Yes, but only the WPML plugin can help you translate the option value.
For other plugins, it only can help you translate the string in the language file of the theme or plugin. It static string. not the dynamic content.
Thanks.
1 year, 4 months ago #27263Could you please try to answer to all my questions so I will be able to keep going faster? I am creating my first website so it is not easy for me to follow you....
1-WMPL to polylang. Is it good or not a good pluging? If it is good, it doesn't work. If it is not good, the only one solution will be to have WPML and pay 90 dollars for that? Why have we just have this expensive extension solution?
2-For the footer part: you mean that I was able to translate my footer but to launch it I have to have WPML? Can I find a cheapest solution?
3-If I delete the button on the header part and I will just have to solve the problem concerning my footer part. My solution will be only WPML?
